Mini Rugby
Mini rugby resumed on Sept 8th . We now have over 170 children joined up in age groups P3 – maxi. P3 ‘s play tag rugby.
Training times are as follows : P3 10:15 – 11:15
P4 – P7 9:30 – 11:15
Maxi 9:30 – 11:15
Fixtures for the season are also on the website, but parents should check with coaches as fixtures can be changed..
All our coaches are volunteers and we are always on the look out for coaches/helpers on a Sat morning……no previous experience is required. The coaches follow the IRFU code of ethics and have completed all relevant police checks. Click here to read the Child Protection policy. Download Child Policy. We insist that all children wear a mouth guard for training and games. We would also recommend scrum caps for head protection. The IRFU have called for a ban on boots with metal blades due to injuries sustained. Parentsare asked to ensure that children have the proper boots.
At the end of training the children are given juice and crisps and after a match hot dogs are provided . This requires volunteers to distribute. Each age group are taking this in turn throughout the season. If you would be available for one Sat morning between 10:45 – 11:45 please contact your child’s coach.
