Ballymena Youth Awards Dinner
Ballymena Youth Rugby held its Annual Awards Dinner at Eaton Park with over 75 boys enjoying the evening. Tom Wiggins Ballymena’s Youth Convenor welcomed the boys and parents to the event which was the largest Youth Dinner in the history of the Club. Whilst Tom acknowledged the difficulties of the season, principally down to the dreadful weather over the winter the focus of the evening was on the positive achievements of the Youth Section.
The season saw Ballymena field strong numbers at each age grade, something which many other Clubs were unable to match. A number of boys were also invited to join Ulster Development Squads an acknowledgement of their potential for the future. Mention was also made of the very positive outlook for next season. Agreement has been reached with several local businesses and as a result each Youth team will have a smart new kit for next season ensuring the boys are one of the best turned out Youth Sections in Ulster Rugby.
Awards were then presented by the Youth team coaches
